Man Charged With Trying To Kill Wife
      Police have charged an Arnold Road man with attempted murder in connection with a domestic violence incident, said Norfolk Police Lieutenant Jon Carroll. Police got a 911 call from a woman on Arnold Road at 7:35 p.m. July 4.

Populatic Pond Incident Leads To Attempted Murder Charge
      Police have charged a Harlow Avenue man with attempted murder in an apparent near-drowning in Populatic Pond, but they are continuing to investigate the man’s claims that the apparent victim was acting irrationally and that he was just trying to save her. At about 10:17 p.m. July 5 police got a call saying someone was drowning in Populatic Pond.

Family Quarrel Leads To Rescue In Woods
      A family quarrel led to an extensive search in the woods off Route 1A in Norfolk that found an unconscious young woman last week. Police got a 911 call at 11 p.m. Saturday, July 10 reporting an argument between a husband and wife who were driving back to their home in Rhode Island after attending a family party in Walpole, said Norfolk Police Lieutenant Jon Carroll.

Garrity Says Access Road For School Construction Purposes May Pass Muster
      While a committee studies whether and how to build a new access road from Rockwood Road to the Freeman-Centennial School grounds, the chairman of the Board of Selectmen says he would support an access road to help construction vehicles gain access to the site and only if the committee figures out a way to pay for it.
