     A Norfolk resident went to the police station last month with an unusual demand: Give me a Breathalyzer. The 57-year-old man told police his car wouldn’t start af­ter he blew into an ignition lock on his car designed to keep him from driving when he is intoxi­cated.

Not Drunk, Just High On (Legal) Drugs
      A 25-year-old man who ap­peared drunk and combative on a commuter rail train last month was actually just feeling the ef­fects of a legal substitute for her­oin, police said. The East Boston resident was on a train going in that direction when train officials kicked him off the train at Norfolk Center and called police. Police found him in the Dunkin’ Donuts on Main Street.

     A man who stopped at Daley Service Station in Norfolk Cen­ter after-hours one night last month wasn’t looking for gas, police said. Norfolk Police Detective Nate Fletcher was passing through the town center around 11:30 p.m. May 19 when he saw a man standing next to a dump truck behind the gas station.

Not Moving
     Police found a 67-year-old Norfolk man passed out in his car in the middle of Fruit Street late last month, police said. The driver was slumped behind the steering wheel of a brown 2005 Toyota Prius when police found him about 4:08 p.m. May 27, said Norfolk Police Lieutenant Jon Carroll. Inside were nip whiskey bottles, a a quart bottle of gin, and a 12-pack of Bass beer, Carroll said.
