An Events Calendar for Norfolk
Sunday, June 6 2 p.m. King Philip Regional High School plans to hold graduation in the gym at the high school, which is at 201 Franklin Street (Route 140) in Wrentham. Tuesday, June 8 noon to 1:30 p.m. The Foxboro Christian Women’s Club is sponsoring a Hearts and Roses Luncheon at the Lafayette House at the corner of Route 1 southbound and Pine Street in Foxborough. Brian Fitzgerald, proprietor of Admiral Fitzray Inn, a European-style hotel in Newport, Rhode Island, plans to share the history and opportunities at the Proctor Mansion Inn, a Victorian building in Wrentham. Ariana Rostrom, an alto from Norton, plans to sing. Beverley Marini, a resident of South Easton, plans to talk about “God’s Blessing in a Rebellious Life” — a God-given husband, one godly son, and God’s gift of many grandchildren. Saturday, June 12 Community Day is scheduled to take place as usual at the Holmes Transportation Complex on Myrtle Street in Norfolk. The annual road race sponsored by Norfolk Community league is scheduled for 9 a.m.; Community Day events start are scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m.. Attractions this year include a children’s art contest, a pie-eating contest, musical performances, a hay wagon, train rides, and amusements for kids. Tuesday, June 22 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. A special town election asking voters whether to approve a $1,067,157 operating budget override of Proposition 2 ½ is scheduled to take place at H.
