Winsor’s Jess Smith Named League All-Star in Softball


(Above): Jess Smith of Norfolk, a junior at the Win­sor School in Boston, was named to the Eastern Inde­pendent League All-League Team in softball. Smith, a pitcher, led her team to a 10-3 record and a second place finish overall in the league. She finished the season with a .500 batting average with 11 RBI’s and a .603 on-base percentage. This spring’s honor caps a year in which she was previously voted All-League in Field Hockey and Basketball. Jess is the daughter of Beth and Joe Smith of Norfolk.
