An Events Calendar for Norfolk
Editor’s Note: Norfolk Public Library is at 139 Main Street in Norfolk Center. All places and addresses below that do not spec­ify a municipality are in the town of Norfolk. May Sunday, May 16

2 to 4 p.m. The Norfolk Historical Commission plans to present an exhi­bition of paintings by local artist Horace Hamlin at the Tramp House on Town Hill, off Liberty Lane in Norfolk Center. These paintings depict historic sites in Norfolk around the turn of the 20th century.

Tuesday, May 18 7 p.m. Norfolk Annual Town Meeting is scheduled to take begin at King Philip Middle School at 18 King Street in Norfolk. The date is a week later than usual.

Wednesday, May 19 7 p.m. The second night of Norfolk Annual Town Meeting is scheduled to take begin at King Philip Middle School at 18 King Street in Norfolk.

Sunday, May 23

7:30 p.m. Norfolk Animal Control is sponsoring a Comedy Night at the Im­prov Asylum at 216 Hanover Street in the North End of Boston. Funds benefit the town’s animal shelter. Drinks are at 7:30 p.m. followed by comedy at 8. Tickets are $20, half of which go to the animal shelter. To get the right price and to make sure half the money goes to the animal shelter, use the code word “Woof” when calling the ticket officeat 617-263-6887. Community Day is scheduled to take place as usual at the Hol­mes Transportation Complex on Myrtle Street in Norfolk.
