Lucy A. (Giandomenico) Metcalf, 94, of Need­ham died Friday, March 26, 2010.

She was a former resident of Walpole.

Lucy was an avid crafter who enjoyed garden­ing, knitting, sewing, quilting, rug hooking, paint­ing, and cooking.

She was a dedicated Boston Red Sox fan. She was the beloved wife of the late Emery D. Metcalf.

She was the devoted mother of David Metcalf, and his wife Gail, of Norfolk; and Janice Doherty, and her husband Roger, of Portland, Maine.

She was the cherished sister of the late Stephen, Roland, Daniel, and Concetta “Jerry” Giandomeni­co and Lena Johnson. She is also survived by five grandchildren, fivegreat-grandchildren, and many nieces and neph­ews.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Alexan­der F. Thomas & Sons Funeral Home in Walpole. A funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, April 12 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole at 10. Burial was at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
