Betty Ann Wakely, a resident of Norfolk, was proud to celebrae International Firefighters’ Day on May 4, when she stopped by the Fire Station to salute the Norfolk Firefighters. May 4 was chosen as the day to recognize and honor firefighters since it is the feast day of St. Florian, patron saint of firefighters. More ... The Norfolk Nutrition Task Force is planning to offer a free after-school educational program for first and third graders in Norfolk. The 4-week program will run from mid-May to mid-June and will be taught by members of the Task Force. The program is funded by a grant from NEEF (Norfolk Elementary Education Foundation). More ...
