Anything Else The Parole Board Should Know?

A man who is already in jail in connection with a domestic incident may get more trouble for a remark he made about his ex-girlfriend shortly before he was to go before the parole board, police said.

Jason Cifizzari, 34, told officials “that they should let the victim know that he highly recommends that she go to court every year to renew the restraining order,” said Norfolk Police Lieutenant Jon Carroll. Cifizzari was convicted in early March of assault and battery, intimidation of a witness, and malicious destruction of property in connection with an incident in November when he beat up his live-in girlfriend and then barricaded himself inside their home at 6 Priscilla Avenue with two shotguns. On April 6, Cifizzari made the remarks about his former girlfriend, which the Parole Board reported to the woman, Carroll said. The Norfolk District Attorney’s

office was also contacted, as there was already a restraining order in effect against Cifizzari to protect the woman. For his comments, police are charging Cifizzari with violation of a restraining order, threats to commit a crime that causes bodily injury, and intimidation of a witness, Carroll said.

Cifizzari is currently scheduled to be released from Suffolk County House of Correction in Boston in November, though the new charges may alter his release date.
