Police: Medical Problem Leads To Car Accident
      A gray 2010 Dodge Chal­lenger with only 300 miles on it sustained serious damage when it hit a bank on North Street and flipped on its side this past Wednesday afternoon, police said. Police found no skid marks and believe the driver, a 38-year-old Norfolk man, may have had a medical problem that led to the accident, said Norfolk Police Lieutenant Jon Carroll.

Four Cars Broken Into
      Four unlocked cars were bro­ken into last weekend, police said. Police received reports from owners about the break-ins on Saturday, April 17, meaning the break-ins occurred either the previous night orearly that morning, said Norfolk Police Lieutenant Jon Carroll.

      Several mailboxes were dam­aged last weekend in the area of south central Norfolk, police said. A police officer on overnight patrol at 6:56 a.m. Saturday, April 17 reported seeing dam­aged mailboxes on Maple Street, King Street, and Essex Street, and police got reports of dam­aged

This Train Stops Here, Buddy
     A belligerent and intoxicated commuter rail passenger got to see the inside of a Norfolk cell last weekend after train officials called police, police said. Police took the 29-year-old Milford man off the train at the Norfolk Center station and placed him in protective custody after getting a complaint that he was bothering other passengers, said Norfolk Police Lieutenant Jon Carroll.

Car Hits Deer
     A car going hit a deer on Main Street earlier this month, police said. A gray 2005 Nissan Sentra going eastbound on Main Street sustained front-end damage when it hit the deer at about 6:37 p.m. Wednesday, April 14. Collisions with deer are more common during the deer’s rut­ting season in the fall but they also occasionally occur at other times of year.

Advisory Board Recommends Meals Tax
     The town’s Advisory Board voted 5-0 this week to recom­mend that Town Meeting ap­prove a local-option meals tax of 0.75 percent.
