Religion In Norfolk Editor’s Note: Norfolk has three churches and a fourth church congregation that uses the town’s library.Next week is Holy Week, which includes the days when Christians commemorate the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, whom Christians worship as God. Below are Holy Week schedules for churches in Norfolk. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ St. Jude’s St. Jude’s is planning to offer confessions from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, the last in a series of confession sessions that have been part of the Archdiocese of Boston’s “The Light is On For You” program. A 9 a.m. daily Mass is scheduled as usual for Monday, March 29; Tuesday, March 30; and Wednesday, March 31; but there is no morning Mass on Thursday, April 1, which is Holy Thursday, the day Christians remember Jesus’s institution of the Eucharist. Instead, Mass is at 7 p.m. Holy Thursday. As usual, there is no Mass on Good Friday. Services are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday, April 2. Holy Saturday schedule is also different from usual, as Mass is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. (Confessions are scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday, April 3.)
