Charles E. Wichland

Charles Earl Wichland, 79, of Coach Road in Norfolk, died on March 10, 2010 in his home surrounded by his loving and attentive family.

He was the beloved hus­band of Elaine Anne (McGo­wen) Wichland and to whom he was married on October 6, 1956.

Born in Brockton on Oc­tober 28, 1930, he was a dear son of the late Charles P. and Florence (Buck) Wichland. He served in the United States Air Force as a Sergeant during the Korean War. Prior to retirement, Mr. Wichland had been a longtime employee of Honeywell Bull in Billerica. He had worked as a well respected engineer for the firm.

He was also the loving fa­ther of Susan M. Wichland of Wrentham, Gary J. Wichland of New Hampshire, Robert G. Wichland of Randolph, and the late James G. Wichland, who predeceased him in 2004.

He was the proud grandfa­ther of Eric Wichland. A private graveside service was held with his family on Friday in the Knollwood Me­morial Park in Canton, where he was buried near his son James. A private Memorial Service will be held at the end of April and at a time convenient to his family.
