Free Legal Session For Veterans
State Representative Richard Ross is pleased to announce that the Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA) will be hosting its annual Dial-A-Lawyer programming on Thursday, April 29. The program is dedicated solely to veterans’ legal questions and is part of the MBA’s “Serving Our Veterans in the Law” initiative. The program will take place via telephone from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Veterans Dial-A-Lawyer program is provided at no charge as a public service, with the financial support of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation, the philanthropic partner of the MBA.
The MBA’s Serving Our Veterans in the Law initiative also includes a weekly call-in service for veterans struggling with state and federal benefit appeals. Qualified veterans will be matched up with attorneys who agree to represent their case free of charge. To take advantage of the program, veterans may dial the Dial-A-Lawyer phone number at (617) 338-0610, which will only be in operation from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on April 29. The MBA has instructed that if a caller gets a busy signal, they may hang up and try again. Normal telephone charges will apply.
