Beer Call Leads To Arrests

Two Medfield teen-agers who apparently thought they’d outsmarted Norfolk police late last week returned to the scene of the crime, where they were pinched. A resident called police at 4:11 p.m. Friday, March 5 to say that the boys, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old, were in a parked car on Stop River Road in Norfolk drinking. The car was gone when Norfolk Police Officer Daniel Morris’s police cruiser arrived at the scene, but the resident called police again at 5 p.m. to say the boys were back. Norfolk Police Officer Peter Lown found that the boys were drinking Rolling Rock beer, and that they also had other beer and wine in the car, said Norfolk Police Lieutenant Jon Carroll. Lown and Morris arrested the boys for possession or transport of alcohol as a minor.
