Time Marching On

Daylight Saving Time begins at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 14, which means this town clock at the second roundabout in Norfolk figures to spring ahead an hour in no time (practically) during the middle of the night. This photo was taken during this past Tuesday evening, around the time shown on the clock. Two of the clock’s four faces are visible. As for the new time, it’s not even spring yet, but since 2007 the federal government has made Daylight Saving Time longer (both earlier and later in the year), in hopes of saving use of power by businesses.
