Lisa Altham-Hickey Named Interim Principal of Freeman-Centennial

Lisa Altham-Hickey has been named interim principal of Freeman-Centennial School starting next month.

She is the current assis­tant principal at Freeman-Centennial School and H. Olive Day School.

Norfolk Superintendent of Schools Don LeClerc an­nounced this week that Al­tham Hickey will take over for Freeman-Centennial Principal Lucia Godfrey, who plans to retire Thurs­day, April 1.

Altham-Hickey’s ap­pointment as interim prin­cipal takes effect Friday, April 2.

“I am confident that as a community and as a par­ent group you will welcome Lisa and give her the sup­port that you have always demonstrated,” LeClerc wrote in a message to par­ents this week. Altham-Hickey came to Norfolk as assistant princi­pal in September.

She has headed a com­mittee studying ways to improve the informa­tion

contained in report cards for the elementary schools.
