Paul McCauley Honored as a Top Financial Advisor

Norfolk resident Paul McCauley (photo, right) was recently recognized in the “America’s Top 1,000 Advi­sors: State-by-State” list in the February 22 issue of Barron’s magazine. Paul joined Merrill Lynch in 2002 as a First Vice President and Private Wealth Advisor. At Merrill Lynch Paul focuses ex­clusively on providing custom­ized wealth management solu­tions to financially successful individuals and families.

Prior to joining Merrill, Paul was a Managing Director at Robertson Stephens and a Prin­cipal

at Montgomery Securities. He began his career at Kidder, Peabody. Paul received his BA in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross in 1986.

Paul is a frequent contribu­tor to many local and national publications where he writes on a variety of wealth management topics. He was recently named as one of America’s top 250 private wealth advisors by Worth maga­zine and was included in Bar­ron’s Top 1,000 Financial Advi­sors for 2009.

Paul lives in Norfolk with his wife and three children. He is the Chairman of the school board at Blessed Sacrament School and sits on the finance committee at Lincoln School as trustee. Barron’s does not receive compensation from financial advisors, participating firms and its affiliates, or the media in exchange for rankings. Fi­nancial

advisors considered for Barron’s “America’s Top 1,000 Advisors: State-by-State” rank­ing have a minimum of seven years financial services experi­ence and have been employed at their current firmfor at least one year. Quantitative and qualitative measures used to determine the financial advisor rankings include: client assets, return on assets, client satisfac­tion/ retention, compliance re­cords, and community involve­ment, among others. In total, 317 Merrill Lynch Advisors are included on this list, the most of any firm.
