Anne T. Tripp, 91

Anne T. (Butterfield) Tripp, a longtime resident of Norfolk, died Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford. She was 91. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Delia (Molloy) Butterfield. She graduated from Dorchester High School.

A homemaker, she had formerly worked as a sales clerk for S. S. Pierce Company in Boston. She and her husband were avid travelers, having been to every state, as well as Europe, New Zealand, Iceland, Norway, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Spain, and France. It would be easier to list where they didn’t travel to. She was loving wife of 64 years of Kenneth E. Tripp. She was the devoted mother of Kenneth L. Tripp, David A. Tripp, and Jeannette A. Melcher, all of Norfolk, and the late Richard C. and Stephen B. Tripp. She is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

A funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, February 26 at St. Jude Church at 86 Main Street in Norfolk, followed by burial at Norfolk Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions in her memory be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, Mass. 02172.
