     A clerk at Tedeschi’s on Route 1A last weekend told police a customer left something behind last Saturday night — but it didn’t go into the lost and found. At around 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb­ruary 20, Norfolk police got a call from the clerk stating that he had found a bag of marijuana on the floor of the convenience store.

Debit Card Racks Up Unauthorized Debits
     A 23-year-old South Boston resident whose mother mailed him a bank automated teller machine debit card from the family home in Norfolk found that someone stole it and ran up about $3,300 in unau­thorized charges on it, police said.

Cost Estimates For New School Expected Next Month
     The Norfolk School Building Committee should be able to hold a cost estimate meeting for the new elementary school on March 24, said architect Jorge Cruz. Cruz discussed the near future of planning the project during the School Building Committee meeting this past Wednesday night.

Selectmen: No Access Road, At Least For Now
     Selectmen this week reiterated their intention not to pursue funding for an access road from Rockwood Road to the Freeman-Centennial School grounds this spring, saying they have to wait for the results of a traffic study to see if the road is needed.

Four Express Interest In School Building Committee
      Selectmen have four candi­dates to fill a vacancy on the Nor­folk School Building Committee, said Town Administrator Jack Hathaway. The committee is guiding the planned new elementary school to replace Freeman-Centennial School on Boardman Street. The school is estimated to cost $36.9 million. The Board of Selectmen makes the appointment to the committee.

Burke Running For Board of Health
     Thomas Burke has taken out nomination papers to run for the town’s Board of Health. Burke is finishing his second three-year term on the Planning Board. As things stand now, Burke may be performing a switch with Board of Health chairman Jeff Palumbo, who is running for Planning Board.

Norfolk Firefighters Receive Training For LUCAS Equipment
