Norfolk residents who own a dog that is at least 6 months old risk a $50 fineif they don’t get a dog license from the Town Clerk’s office by 5 p.m. Thursday, February 25.

State law requires dog own­ers to get a dog license. A town bylaw provides for a fine for missing the deadline. The Town Clerk’s office is on the ground floor of Norfolk Town Hall at One Liberty Lane. The of­fice is open for public business 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The office is closed Fridays and weekends.
