Effective immediately and until further notice the Town Clerk’s Officewill have the fol­lowing public hours: Monday – Thursday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Other hours by appoint­ment and/or as required by state mandate.

It is hoped that this small change will accomplish sev­eral things:

• Eliminate confusion re­garding the State cut-off for filing nominations papers, pe­titions, and other misc. filings, which is 5:00pm. • Streamline the passport processing service which now requires a trip to the post of­fice

(which closes at 5pm) for traceable delivery confirma­tion. • Eliminate the ‘split-shift’ currently used in the officeto accommodate the limited hours of the Assistant Town Clerk position. • Allow more flexibility in the schedule which often re­quires hours outside of the normal 9-5 schedule for State requirements.
