Lucia ‘Irene’ (Carbone) O’Connell, 85

Lucia “Irene” (Carbone) O’Connell, 85, of Walpole died Wednesday, Feb­ruary 10, 2010.

She was born September 2, 1924 She was the beloved wife of the late William O’Connell.

She was the loving mother of Wil­liam J. O’Connell, and his wife Patri­cia, of Walpole; Patricia, and her hus­band Ed Gorman, of Norfolk; James O’Connell, of Medfield; and the late Maureen Patricia O’Connell.

She was the sister of Mary McGrath of Weymouth, Dorothy Di­Visano of Attleboro, and the late Jo­sephine Rossello. She is also survived by six loving grandchildren and eight great-grand­children. A funeral is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, February 13 at James H. Delaney and Son Funeral Home at 48 Common Street in Walpole, to be followed be a 9 a.m. funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 Dia­mond

Street in Walpole. Burial is at St. Francis Cemetery in on Washing­ton Street in South Walpole. In lieu of flowers, donations in Irene’s memory may be made to El­lis Nursing Home, 135 Ellis Avenue, Norwood, Mass. 02062.
