Jean T. Collins, 82
She was born in Dedham. She had been a winter resident of Florida for 15 years before moving there permanently three years ago from Norwood. She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and attended St. Andrew Catholic Church in Stuart, Florida.
She was a member of Martin County Golf Course and was a past secretary for the Ladies Golf League.
She also attended VFW Post 10132 of Hobe Sound, Florida with her husband, William.
She leaves her husband of 62 years, William F. Collins of Stuart, Florida.
She also leaves her children: Cynthia Mohamet (Jim) of Stuart, Florida; Kathleen Roche (David) of Norfolk; Peter Collins (Patricia) of Shrewsbury; Susan Sorrento (Paul) of Norfolk; and Brian Collins of Boston.
She leaves seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward, Joseph, and John; and her sister, Marie Funeral arrangements were handled by Forest Hills Young & Prill Chapel in Stuart. A gathering of family and friends took place Thursday, January 21 at VFW Post 10132 of Hobe Sound.
