Effective immediately and until further notice the Town Clerk’s Office will have the following public hours:

Monday – Thursday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Other hours by appointment and/or as required by state man­date. It is hoped that this small change will accomplish several things:

• Eliminate confusion regarding the State cut-off for filing nominations papers, petitions, and other misc. filings, which is 5:00pm.

• Streamline the passport processing service which now re­quires a trip to the post office (which closes at 5pm) for traceable delivery confirmation.

• Eliminate the ‘split-shift’ currently used in the office to ac­commodate the limited hours of the Assistant Town Clerk posi­tion. • Allow more flexibility in the schedule which often requires hours outside of the normal 9-5 schedule for State requirements.
