Marie A. Alix, 91

Marie A. Alix of Hillcrest Village in Norfolk died on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood.

She was the beloved widow of Ernest E. Alix, who died in 1985.

She was born June 23, 1918 in Darlington, Rhode Is­land, loving daughter of Auguste and Marguerite (Thieabult) Petit.

She was a former longtime North Attleborough and Pla­inville resident. Marie had been an inspector for the Whiting and Davis Company in Plainville before retiring many years ago. She is survived by her beloved children: Ernest E. Alix Jr., and his wife Patricia, of Norfolk; and Janice, and her hus­band Dean Davis, of Bishopville, South Carolina.

She was the loving grandmother of three dear grandchil­dren: Monty Alix of San Francisco, California, Cherie Alix of Norfolk, and Wade Alix of Easton, Connecticut; and four cherished great-grandchildren she thought the world of: Thomas Norton, Steven, Jennifer, and Sara Alix.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by R.J. Ross Fu­neral Home in Wrentham.

The family plans to hold a private graveside memorial ser­vice on Friday, February 12. Marie is to be buried alongside her husband at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery in Dade City, Florida.
