Curry College in Milton has announced that Micaela Muller of Norfolk and Cailyn Varkas of Norfolk have been named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2009 term.

The University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio has announced that Emma Perkuhn of Norfolk, who is majoring in Equestrian Stud­ies, has been awarded a Dean’s Scholarship for the 2009-2010 aca­demic year.

10-year-old Emma Powers of Norfolk, a 4th grader at Free­man Centennial Elementary School, is slated to take part this week­end, Jan. 22-24 in the 25th annual Bay State Winter Games in the northern Berkshire region. She will compete in figure skating, and is one of almost 1,000 athletes from across the Commonwealth par­ticipating in that sport, alpine skiing or ice hockey.

Jenna L. McCarthy, daughter of Annette and Eugene Mc­Carthy of Norfolk, was named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2009 semester at Saint Michael’s College. McCarthy is a Sophomore Art major at the liberal arts, residential Catholic college located in the Burlington area of Vermont, and graduated from King Philip Re­gional High School before coming to Saint Michael’s.
