An Events Calendar for Norfolk
Editor’s Note: Norfolk Public Library is at 139 Main Street in Norfolk Center. All places and addresses below that do not specify a municipality are in the town of Norfolk.
Monday, January 25
6:30 p.m. The King Philip School Committee is inviting residents from the three King Philip towns (Norfolk, Wrentham, and Plainville) to a social event titled “Meet the School Committee.” The social event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in the library of King Philip Regional High School at 201 Franklin Street (Route 140) in Wrentham, shortly before the scheduled 7 p.m. committee meeting.
Tuesday, January 26 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The Norfolk Board of Health plans to hold a swine flu vaccination clinic at King Philip Middle School at 18 King Street in Norfolk. Swine flu is formally known as H1N1. The clinic is open to all Norfolk residents, including children 9 and under who need a second vaccine. No appointments are necessary. Vaccine information and consent forms for adults and children are available online at the town of Norfolk web site, www.virtualnorfolk.org; and at the King Philip Regional School District web site at http://www.kingphilip.org/kpnorth/healthservices/VIS%20H1N1.pdf. 7 p.m. The St. Jude Women’s Group is sponsoring a Trivia Night at St. Jude Church at 86 Main Street in Norfolk. All are invited. Admission is $10 per player. Teams are limited to 10 players. Saturday, February 13 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A Red Cross Blood Drive is scheduled to take place at St. Jude Church at 86 Main Street in Norfolk to replenish blood supplies that are running low. To make an appointment, call 1-800-733-2767, go online to www.RedCrossBlood.org, or call Julie Dooley at 508-520-3303. noon The Norfolk Democratic Town Committee plans to hold a caucus at Norfolk Public Library to elect delegates to the State Democratic Convention. All residents of Norfolk who are registered Democrats are encouraged to attend and vote. Those interested
in becoming delegates must be present to be elected. The 2010 Massachusetts Democratic Convention is scheduled for Friday, June 4 and Saturday, June 5 at the DCU Center in Worcester.
