The Village at River’s Edge Opens “Phase II”

Above, from left to right - Al Rao of Prudential Page Realty, Developer Tom DiPlacido, Norfolk Selectmen Jim Tomaszewski and Jim Lehan, and Norfolk Town Administrator Jack Hathaway participate in a ribbon cutting to open “Phase II” at The Village at River’s Edge Active Adult Community in Norfolk. Town Selectmen and members of Prudential Page Realty participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony with developer Tom DiPlacido in December. Phase One of Norfolk’s Active Adult Community at The Village of River’s Edge is nearly sold out, with only two units remaining to be sold. These duplex townhomes ranging in size from 1364 square feet to over 2400 square feet have attracted residents from Florida to Cape Cod, including some from local towns who are looking for the convenience of maintenance-free living. Thirty-six homes are occupied and four more are under construction.

Sales have been strong since developer Tom DiPlacido introduced a Ranch-style condo with a truss roof design that allows for a flexible floor plan. The starting price of these Ranch models is $329,900 for the Adams model.

Phase II features four new one-floor Ranch models as well as two story townhomes. There are currently 15 reservations for the 26 units available in the first portion of Phase II.

In addition to the residences, The Village at River’s Edge will feature a 25,000-square-foot, two-story commercial building, a 150-seat restaurant and a 4,000 square foot meeting house for residents.

DiPlacido Development Corp. has been building homes in the Norfolk area for over 17 years.
